Renewables & Infrastructure Valuations
Location: London (2-3 days in office)
The Role
You will be working towards (Assistant Manager), or managing a portfolio of valuation clients (Manager) in the renewable energy & infrastructure investment space, and be responsible for coordinating the delivery of client projects.
You will support senior internal stakeholders by creating efficiencies in client projects, building excellent client relationships, and delivering sector-specific business development materials.
RENEWABLES & INFRASTRUCTURE VALUATION Team
- Strong understanding of the global climate crisis and the renewable energy industry and its advancement, as well as practical experience of valuation concepts that are fundamental to the role. Experience with valuation of wider infrastructure sector assets (e.g. PPP/PFI, railroad, ports, toll roads, utilities) is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of the key areas of valuation and finance, and be able to produce written reports to a high standard.
- Responsible for preparing valuation models using a techniques such as discounted cash flow, cost and market multiples.
- Manage project timetables, reporting to and working directly with senior colleagues, as well as managing junior staff.
- Strong skills in financial analysis and able to identify and investigate key issues in a valuation, challenging information provided where necessary. Able to undertake accurate and relevant analysis and interrogate financial models are essential.
- The role will provide an opportunity to work with an experienced director/partner-led team with exposure to the renewables & wider infrastructure industries.
Responsibilities
- Comply with the firm’s client onboarding and risk management procedures.
- Project management of valuation engagements to completion.
- Execute robust technical valuation analyses.
- Deliver valuation reports that are fit for purpose and accessible to non-technical readers.
- Provide effective intellectual input and challenge to senior members of staff in the completion of projects with conceptual complications.
- Carry out relevant technical research relevant to a specific area of valuations - disseminate key findings to the valuation team.
Skills / Qualifications
- Relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CFA, ICAEW etc.
- Valuation experience (from a professional services firm ideally)
- Proficient in valuation techniques, including multiples analysis and discounted cash flow
- Able to interpret project finance models and financial statements in the context of valuation
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry gained from within a professional setting, including economic and regulatory considerations
- Strong skills with Excel, PowerPoint, oral communication, and strong analytical and excel modelling skills
- Excellent skills with business writing
